This morning, ESPN talent Bomani Jones spent his morning co-hosting ESPN’s Mike & Mike in place of Mike Golic.
Now this wouldn’t be a big deal normally, different personalities on the network take over hosting responsibilities at times on all of their radio programs.
Mike and Mike is also simulcasted on ESPN2 in the mornings. So Bomani used this platform to wear a t-shirt that while being clever, would also fire up the internet. A shirt depicting a white man in place of the Cleveland Indians mascot stating “CAUCASIANS” along with the cheesy kool-aid smile and a dollar sign instead of feathers for the added effect.
So, a couple of this site’s contributors, “Smitty The Brawler”, DJ T-Why, Mike Madison and I had a quick discussion about this topic and here is the running diary of it (excuse the typos and profanities).

All of me appreciates his voice. It’s one of the smartest voices we have in sports. But I do worry if he’s going too far out on that limb. I mean, he serves us better if he’s actually on the air.
