On Friday evening, Hip Hop and Gogo took over the newly renovated Wharf in Southwest, DC as Anthony “Wingsworld” Davidson and his Endless Dreams imprint welcomed Atlanta’s legendary TI along with Backyard Band with a couple of special guests to open the festivities at The Anthem, the nation’s capital newest crown jewel entertainment facility.

It was a huge deal for the first time promotion show the ability to deliver having a top-tier artist along with the hottest gogo band in the city for the first time in the venue, pulling this off was no small feat. From having two homegrown artists – who won a contest weeks earlier to open the show – to veteran producer/MC Kevin “Uno Boss” Blackmon and EDI Music’s own Ocean to liven the crowd up before the headliners, the show continued seamlessly with the comedic stylings of the host Miles Rawls of the legendary Goodman League.

From Ocean’s “return” to his DC roots after spending 12 years in Miami to launch his career, to the Backyard Band tearing the roof off the place, it was a banner night for the city and kudos to Wingsworld, the whole Endless Dreams staff along with the Anthem staff and security for creating a night to remember for the attendees.
