Its the Battle of the Bearded Light Skinned Rapper!
I love the competitive nature of hip-hop.
You really don’t get that too much in today’s rap landscape, other methods are now used in “rap beef” that determines winners and losers, when at the end of the day, it should be about the bars.
Joe Budden, besides being known by the mainstream as a “one hit wonder” and Mr. Jean Vest from Love and Hip Hop – New York, is a vicious MC. Laying in the boring world of underground rap, he has been consistent with the pen.
But none of that matter in 2016, you gotta come with something witty, something funny, have the internet go nuts, and lastly, pick better tracks when dropping diss records.
Especially when you decide to take on one of the rap game heavyweights in Aubrey Graham aka Drake.
Budden’s first track, while lyrically solid, didn’t pack enough punch for the common fan because of the lackluster track. He didn’t disappoint with this one….will Drake respond? Stay tuned…
