Substantial “Made In Maryland” Review

Substantial “Made In Maryland” Review

When I originally decided to review this song I fully planned to use my best King’s English. But once I got into the song, that went out the window. “Made in Maryland” got me siced! As a proud PG County resident, I’m always looking to support people from our area in their endeavors. I’m particularly excited about this project because it is an ode to my hometown. It is an ode to the great things that we have to offer here in PG County and in the state of Maryland. It’s an anthem for us.

Substantial’s methodical and mature lyrics pair extremely well with the driving beat for that good head-nodding tempo. You can already picture me riding around to it with the windows down.

I expect to hear this on all the radio stations in the DMV area and I expect us to support this brother. Substantial is a graduate of Suitland High School and was born and raised in PG County. He’s been an hip hop artist for over 15 years and has performed across the United States and internationally.

Let’s show him some hometown love and support this project. His new album, “The Past is Always Present in the Future” is available for download on iTunes and Amazon. You can order CD’s from Bandcamp.

Want to see Substantial perform live? Catch him at one of his upcoming album release parties this month!
