Dear prospective volunteer,
The 22nd Annual ProjectGiveback food distribution will take place on 11/19/16 across the District and surrounding counties. The Edgewood location will celebrate its 5th year participating as one of the distribution locations this year.
For those interested in assisting, the Edgewood location is in need of assistance in the following areas:
1) Delivering food to residents in the Edgewood area. The average distance between the central location and the recipients is no more than 5-6 street blocks.
2) This location is also in need of volunteers to donate additional turkeys for distribution. Project Giveback has been gracious enough to donate boxes to our location. However, in some instances, our demand for food becomes higher.
Deliveries will be made on Saturday afternoon 11/19/16 after 1 pm. Please arrive at 12:30 pm at the location listed. Volunteers will be given a call list for the neighbors that they are assigned to deliver to. Further instructions will be given on the day of the event.
Lastly, if you want to make a monetary donation, it is preferred that you go to projectgiveback.org to make that contribution.
